How do I make a reservation?
You can call, text , or email us to check availability and secure your reservation. Once you’ve selected a date, we’ll send you the rental contract via email for your review and signature. (Please see a sample rental contract below.)
Where is the boat rental located?
The boat launches from a designated dock within the State of Ohio park. Since the park is state-operated, we are not physically located on-site but handle all bookings and payments independently. Meet-up instructions and the exact location will be provided via email along with your rental contract.
Do I need a boating license?
A boating license is not required; however, if you were born on or after January 1, 1982, the State of Ohio requires that you either complete a boater safety course or pass an abbreviated exam. You have two options to meet this requirement:
A) Sign the designated section of the rental agreement confirming you have a valid boating safety certificate. (While we do not require proof at check-in, you must be prepared to provide documentation within 72 hours if requested by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.)
B) Take a 10-question multiple choice exam at check-in. (See details below.)
What is the weather is bad?
We want your experience to be a GREAT Summer Day Adventure! If weather conditions prevent your rental from taking place, we’re very flexible—offering either a full refund or the option to reschedule your booking.
Can I request additional time?
Yes, additional time can be added at a flat rate of $75/hour, subject to availability. We recommend booking the full amount of time you anticipate needing in advance, as our schedule is built around existing reservations. Please note that we cannot apply package rates to on-the-spot extensions. If you choose to extend your time, the additional charges will be deducted from your deposit.
Do I have to wear a life jacket?
Children 10 and under are required to wear a life jacket at all times. Life jackets are also mandatory for anyone participating in watersports. We provide all life vests, we will request the weights of any children at the time of reservation so we can ensure properly sized vests are ready for you.
Do I need to clean the boat or refuel when we are done?
Nope! This is a full-service experience. When your rental ends, simply gather your belongings and leave the rest to us—we’ll handle the cleaning and refueling. The cost of the fuel used will be deducted from your deposit.
When is my deposit and payment due?
The deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining payment is due anytime before you arrive for your rental.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payments via Zelle, Venmo, and PayPal. Just let us know your preferred method, and we’ll provide the appropriate payment details.
How long will it take to get my deposit back?
Your deposit will be refunded after the rental is complete, minus the cost of fuel and any damages, if applicable. Please allow 15–30 minutes for us to clean and secure the boat. Once that’s done, your refund will be issued using the same payment method you originally used.
